There are several test cartridges that are used with RAMP® 200 Analyser, for quantitative determination of various analytes which give vital information of several life threatening conditions including Congestive Heart Failure, Acute Myocardial Infarction and Deep Vein Thrombosis. All RAMP® 200 tests are quantitative immunochromatographic tests which detect various important markers. The tests are carried out automatically once the blood sample, and run to completion within ~15 minutes. The optional consumables and accessories include the Cardiac Controls, Printer and Barcode scanner

Troponin I Test
Troponin is the contractile regulatory protein of striated muscles. Studies of patients with AMI have demonstrated early release of TnI into the blood stream after the onset of chest pain, reaching peak concentrations at 14 to 36 hours. The levels remain elevated for 3 to 7 days after infarction [5,6]. Measurement of TnI levels therefore provides a sensitive and specific determination of myocardial injury over a wide time window.

D-Dimer Test
D-dimer is a fibrin degradation product (FDP), a small protein fragment that is present in the blood after a blood clot is degraded by fibrinolysis. D-dimer is present in the circulation as part of the normal wound healing process, but it is also valuable as a diagnostic marker for Disseminated Intravascular Coagulation (DIC) and as an aid to the rule-out of Venous Thromboembolism (VTE), a spectrum of diseases that include Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) and Pulmonary Embolism (PE).

N – Terminal B-type natriuretic peptide (NT-ProBNP) Test
Testing the levels of NT-proBNP in patient blood samples is very useful as these levels are indicative of the degree of Congestive Heart Failure (CHF), and when combined with clinical judgment they provide superior diagnostic performance than clinical judgment alone. NT-proBNP has been used for risk stratification of patients with acute coronary syndrome and CHF.

Myoglobin Test
Myoglobin is an intracellular oxygen-binding protein, which is present in all types of muscle cells, including the heart. Following myocardial injury or cellular necrosis, myoglobin is quickly released into the bloodstream. Although elevated levels of myoglobin may be detected as early as 1 hour after an Acute Myocardial Infarction (AMI), myoglobin is most beneficial as a cardiac marker when measured 2–12 hours following an AMI. Myoglobin levels peak at 6 to 9 hours post infarction and return to normal within 24 to 36 hours.

Creatine Kinase-MB (CK-MB) Test
An Acute Myocardial Infarction (AMI) leads to a number of biochemical markers that are released into the bloodstream. One of these markers is the MB isoform of creatine kinase (CK-MB). CK-MB is found primarily in cardiac tissue with substantially lower levels in skeletal muscle [1 to 5]. CK-MB levels become elevated within 6 hours after onset of chest pain returning to normal levels within 48 to 72 hours
